Motif is a project that delves into the often overlooked details of our bodies: moles. Artist aims to explore the distinct features and intricate patterns found on our skin by photographing multiple individuals and editing images in a sequence. These patterns are unique for every individual, they are like one in a kind tattoo for every person. Yet we come to a paradox... Since every person has a unique pattern, the concept of uniqueness becomes universalized, blurring the lines between individuality and commonality.

By using inverted imagery artist makes moles the brightest part of the image. This directs viewer’s attention to patterns that emerge while looking at the human skin as a living canvas.

Project is meant to be presented in a large format. (Big enough to identify patterns on every individual)
